John Sirstins (NMLS#1102123) was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, the youngest of 4 brothers and 3 sisters. His father was a painting contractor, so John learned to walk with a paintbrush in his hand. After school, weekends and Summer vacations were all spent in helping with his father’s painting/home construction business. Because of this, after John married, he began buying, fixing, building and selling homes.
He founded several companies including a commodities firm, a mining company, a building company, and a recreational company, to name a few. He sold insurance and mutual funds and bought and sold real estate as an investor. John raised money for investors in Europe, China and all over the U.S.
Because of his vast hands-on knowledge of financing, real estate, investing, buying and selling properties, he was a perfect fit to become a Loan Specialist. He joined FSI Mortgage in 2103.
He and his wife have been married 56 years and live in Salt Lake City. They are the parents of 5 children; 2 sons and 3 daughters, all living in Utah. They are the proud grandparents of 13 grandchildren.
